Handmade Cheeses Covered with Paprika and Gofio
I n Betancuria, in the north of Fuerteventura, La Villa dairy farm produces traditional products with a variety of goat cheeses: fresh, semi-cured, ripe, grand reserve, in oil, with paprika and gofio. With more than 100 years of experience in the manufacture of cheese in Fuerteventura, the products are sold under the Protected Designation of Origin or PDO Majorero Cheese, with the label “Betancuria en Flor” in smoked cheeses and those made from vegetable rennet.

I n the town of Llano de Santa Catalina, La Villa dairy farm make enough milk to produce up to eight thousand kilos of cheese per season, and individual cheeses of one, two, three and five kilos are made. The cheese and dairy shop is open daily for guided tours or to buy your products.
