How to prepare the Frangollo Canario?
The Frangollo Canario is one of the Canarian dessert that reflects the culture of the Canarian gastronomy.

Ingredientes para 4 personas:
- 1,5 liter milk
- Corinth raisins
- 150 grams ground almonds
- 100 grams sugar
- 2 egg yolks (not obligatory)
- 60 gram butter
- 1 cinnamon branch
- 1 lemon skin
- 250 gr. coarse corn flour
- Salt
Preparation
- Add the milk in a saucepan, flavour it with the lemon skin and cinnamon and cook it for 5 minutes on low fire.
- Mix the coarse corn flour, the sugar, the ground almonds and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
- Add the mixture to the heated milk and start to simmer, without stopping to move to prevent it from sticking.
- Add the melted butter together with the egg yolks and raisins and continue cooking until it turns into a thick and creamy dough.
- Put it into individual pots and let it stand for a while. Add honey or caramel, although our recommendation is honey.
